When to visit Ibiza — and what to pack
A month-by-month guide to weather, crowds and costs, plus a simple packing list for a walking and beach holiday.
Ibiza is a year-round island, but it changes character with the seasons. Choose your dates around what you actually want to do.
## Spring (March–May)
Warm days, green hillsides and quiet trails. The almond blossom appears in late January and February, and by April the island is full of wildflowers. The sea is still cool, but the walking is superb. Easter brings the first crowds.
## Summer (June–August)
Hot, dry and busy. Expect 30°C and above, packed beaches and higher prices. Walk at dawn or dusk, book everything ahead and plan beach days around the heat.
## Autumn (September–October)
Many people's favourite time. The sea is at its warmest, the light is soft, and the summer crowds thin after mid-September. October is ideal for hiking.
## Winter (November–February)
Quiet and surprisingly green, with mild, sunny days and cold nights. Some resorts and restaurants close, but the countryside is peaceful and the walking is excellent. January and February bring the almond blossom.
